DESCRIPTION:Marig Munsel – Dispelling the Darkness of ignorance\nVenerable Gyatrul Rinpoche’s Centers Three-Year Program—Year One\nOnline Program\nIn 2001, with the support of Tashi Choling, we started a four-year Buddhist training program in Southern Oregon. Venerable Gyaltrul Rinpoche named it Marig Munsel, Clearing the Darkness of Ignorance. The purpose of the program has been to provide a solid foundation for new and intermediate students to wisely progress along the Vajrayana path of Tibetan Buddhism. Lama Bruce Newman has taught this program numerous times at Rinpoche’s centers, discontinuing at the advent of the pandemic. We are now ready to begin our program online.\nYear One is the foundations of Mahayana Buddhism. We will study Gampopa’s Jewel Ornament of Liberation which provides a strong overview of the whole Mahayana Buddhist path.
